Designing a hardware device that spans multiple PCBs can be tricky – especially when those boards need specific shapes and precise spatial arrangements. This talk will cover my approach to managing multi-PCB projects in KiCad, including how to use the command-line features of both KiCad and FreeCAD to automate 3D model export and positioning, producing assets ready to drop into any 3D software.
