Éléonore Daxhelet

Éléonore Daxhelet will join us to present the latest findings and research from the European Commission’s Open Source Observatory (OSOR).

This presentation provides an overview of the activities and resources of the European Commission’s Open Source Observatory (OSOR), as well as its latest paper on Progress and trends in the national open source policies and legal frameworks.

The report examines how open source software has evolved within public administrations, based on the most recent country reports. It covers 18 EU member states and includes for the first time five candidate Western Balkan countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Serbia.

The session will provide insights into the current state of open source in Europe, focusing particularly on the findings from the Balkan countries and exploring how EU integration influences digital policy in candidate countries.
